About Us

Mission 

At Gateway to Galloway Visitor Centre and Community Hub we aim to be sustainable, viable, and provide long term economic and cultural community benefit, not just for Stranraer but for all of Galloway, contributing to Scotland’s success.

Although the Gateway to Galloway Hub is based in Stranraer, its activities and projects reach across a wide area. The Gateway to Galloway promises to deliver benefits across the entire Rhins of Galloway peninsula to the West and to a radius extending throughout Galloway to the East and North as far as Girvan in South Ayrshire.

Features 

The Hub will be a space for members of the community to use freely and will have free Wi-Fi available. Additionally, the hub will act as a Box Office for any events hosted by Stranraer Development Trust such as The Oyster Festival!

We stock a range of local arts & crafts and are always keen to stock more suppliers! Please visit/contact us if you would like to discuss being featured.

Opening Times 

*Please note, we are currently operating under seasonal hours.* Monday to Saturday 10:00am - 2:00pm (with the expectation of 11:00am opening on Wednesday's)

Our newly established Visitor Centre and Community Hub is open from 10:00am – 4:00pm Monday to Friday and 10:00am – 2:00pm Saturday’s.
